Each year, Saint Michael’s College honors the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr and his vision of Beloved Community through programming, activities, and music. Dr. King’s Beloved Community is a global vision, in which all people share in the wealth of the earth (The King Center). The theme of our 2025 convocation is Radical Empathy, inspired by Dr. Terri E. Givens’ work to bridge racial divides and explore how the structures that lead to segregation, inequality and injustice impact all of us.
