Equity & Access

The Equity and Access Resource Hub was created to help faculty at SMC incorporate an equity lens into their teaching, projects, and other academic endeavors. This will help to create more inclusive and equitable experiences that elicit a sense of belonging from all current and potential students, reflecting their unique needs, motivations, and experiences.

Within this hub, you will find a compilation of materials and resources including topics such as Universal Design, inclusive pedagogy, anti-racist and equitable pedagogical approaches, etc.

These are curated resources, openly available for you to use as you begin to incorporate Inclusive Design practices into your teaching. There will be periodic reviews of the content found here to ensure that the information remains up to date. If you have any suggestions or feedback, please email the Institute for Equity and Justice Director, Omara Rivera-Vazquez, oriveravazqu@smcvt.edu.
