Kansai Gaidai University

Kansai Gaidai University Asian Studies Program

Kansai Gaidai University (KGU) and Saint Michael’s College have been exchange partners since 1988. During that time nearly a hundred Japanese and American students have participated in the program and have studied for a semester or academic year at the exchange partner’s home campus.

KGU, located in the city of Hirakata, enrolls approximately 11,000 undergraduate students and its popular Asian Studies Programs hosts more than 600 international students per year. A large selection of courses are taught in English and Japanese language courses are offered at all levels of proficiency. If you are interested in experiencing Japanese culture first hand, this is a great way to start.
