Mission and Goals

MOVE Mission and Purpose

It is the mission and purpose of Mobilization of Volunteer Efforts (MOVE) to expand the concepts of community service to embrace social justice and emphasize our connections in the world, as defined by Catholic Social Teaching. Through our experiences of service, reflection, and dialogue, we are compelled to respond through compassionate action, education, and advocacy.

MOVE Goals

Reduce the community’s un-served needs by focusing the energy and creativity of students to develop and carry out effective volunteer programs.

Forge partnerships with members of the surrounding communities (with a particular focus on Winooski) to facilitate relationship building, dialogue, and resource sharing.

Provide leadership development to student (Core Team) leaders with the intention of raising awareness about diversity, equity, and inclusion and nurturing life-long engaged citizens for our world.
