Current job title and employer and briefly describe what it is you do: I’m a Pentagon reporter at National Public Radio.
Academic experience at Saint Michael's College help prepare you for your career: I was a history major. Besides being able to synthesize information, my knowledge of American history helps me all the time in my job. Whether it’s women in the military or a new medal, I can draw on what I’ve read to give context to the story.
Favorite memory or class from your time studying at St. Mike’s: Norb Kuntz. He brought history alive, pulled me out of my shell and helped me more than he ever knew. I think of him often.
Other information you would like to share or advice for incoming or current students: Take a variety of courses, get internships, and search for a job you love. I’m heading to Afghanistan once again in May and I hope to catch up with classmate General Joe Dunford, commander of US and allied forces.
