Which part of your liberal arts education at SMC has been the most valuable to you?

I believe the idea of getting out of your comfort zone and exploring different areas is the one that has the most value to me. Liberal arts education provides you with the opportunity to challenge yourself and get knowledge from many areas. I think this gives you an advantage in many ways when you enter the real world.

Was there a particular lecture, course, book, professor, staff member or extracurricular activity that made an indelible impact on your career path or life, or shaped who you are now?

I was part of the men’s soccer team and that shaped me to be the person I am today. I was lucky enough to be able to participate in a MOVE trip to the Dominican Republic. To this day, it was the most eye-opening experience I have ever had.
