Come learn how to 3D model and print your own game pieces in this drop-in work session. Student staff are readily available to help you create replacement pieces or make up designs of your own.

Join our student staff Jaeden and Nika in this fun DIY workshop on how to make your own throw pillow! For beginners, this workshop is a great intro to the basics of sewing. Materials and training provided.

In this 101 session, learn how to use our laser cutter (our machine with cutting and engraving abilities), and get a chance to create something yourself!

In this beginner-friendly workshop, learn the basics of Adobe Illustrator- a design program and vector graphics editor. Here in the MakerSpace, we often use this software to create designs to be laser-cut or vinyl-cut (See examples here). If you would like to join this workshop remotely, please email us (makerspace@smcvt.edu) or use the sign up to receive a zoom link.

Have a garment that needs repair? Come in and fix it! In this workshop MakerSpace staff will consult with you on your repair and walk you through how to fix it. Join during any part of this open work session.

Learn the fundamentals of 3D printing and how to use our MakerBot printers for your own project(s). We can help you design something from scratch or choose from thousands of existing designs on Thingiverse and print it here. Join during any part of this open work session! Learn how to design and print your own 3D object! In this workshop, staff will assist you in creating a 3D model which you can print right here in the MakerSpace. If you would like to participate remotely, please email us (makerspace@smcvt.edu) or use the sign up to receive a zoom link.

Learn the basics of embroidery, and some beginner friendly stitches and patterns in this open work session! Join during any time and stay for as little or as long as you'd like. Materials and training provided! You can bring your own clothing or material to embroider if you prefer to customize something in this workshop.
