Join us for the last session of our annual pumpkin carving workshops! You can carve your pumpkin, or learn how to laser-etch, vinyl stencil, or paint a pumpkin instead. (Pumpkins provided)

learn the basics of sewing and get a chance to make something yourself! Trained student staff are available to help you carry out your own sewing project. Need help with a costume? We have a variety of fabrics and sewing materials available for the campus community to use.

Bring in a glass, something wooden, or made of paper, and we will show you how to engrave it! Our staff will consult with you on your project, assist you in creating your own design, and help you operate our laser cutter. All we ask is that you email us (makerspace@smcvt.edu) ahead of time, so we can ensure the material you bring in is laser-safe! Material can't be bigger than 12"x24".

Come laser-cut your own set of business cards! We have plenty of colorful card stock options to choose from, and trained staff who will help you create your own design and laser engrave/cut it. Stay for as little or as long as you'd like!

In this workshop, make your own tapestry! Get the chance to vinyl-cut your own iron-on text, and/or tie dye your tapestry! Bring your own fabric material, or use provided material (limited seats available).

This workshop will cover the basics of fusion 360, a CAD tool that can be used for creating 3D designs. In this beginner-friendly drop-in session, you will get a chance to design something small yourself, and send it to one of our 3D printers. Stay for as little or as long as you'd like. We also offer this session as a remote workshop for those interested in joining via zoom. Email us (makerspace@smcvt.edu) for the zoom link if you are interested.
