Timothy W. Burke ’79

Timothy W. Burke, Merrimack, NH, died November 26, 2024.

Born in Hartford, CT, Tim grew up as one of five children in Simsbury, CT, and graduated from that town’s public high school before coming to Saint Michael’s.

After working briefly after graduation in sales in Burlington, Tim worked as the store manager for Tire Warehouse in Lowell, MA, for 30 years and was a proud member of that community. An avid sports fan and longtime Patriots season ticket holder, he played hockey into his 40s and never missed a Patriots, Red Sox, Celtics, or Bruins game on TV.

He enjoyed reading about history and making model airplanes. He loved to attend concerts and sporting events with his late wife, Kathy, and had many fond memories with her. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family, including his loyal cat, Baxter.

His wife of 37 years, Katherine, died in 2020.

Survivors include two sons, a daughter, two brothers, two sisters, and extended family.
