Samuel C. Bridgers, Jr. ’55

Samuel C. Bridgers, Jr., Cherry Hill, NJ, died January 21, 2025.

Sam grew up in White Plains, NY, and was a member of the first graduating class of Stepinac High School there in 1951. He received his bachelor’s degree in sociology from Saint Michael’s and then served in the Navy. His career was centered in the insurance industry where he worked for INA Insurance before establishing Bridgers Insurance in Cherry Hill, NJ, which he operated for over 20 years.

He often recalled his time in the Navy with great pride and fond memories. His greatest pleasures were spending time with his family, world travel with Barbara, and being a very vocal New York Giants fan. He loved airplanes, air shows, listening to jazz music, and oil painting. Sam was a Fellows Club supporter of the College.

He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Barbara (Lawrence), four sons, a daughter and extended family.
