Richard Caldarelli ’71

RICHARD CALDARELLI, Hartford, CT, died September 2, 2023. After Saint Michael’s, where his studies focused on business and history, Dick, a Connecticut native, discovered his love for photography and dedicated himself as a full-time wedding photographer at Bowers & Caldarelli. He went on to establish his own freelance wedding photography business, capturing cherished moments for countless couples. His love for history led him to visit many historical sites, especially the historical Gettysburg battlefield. He was known for his great sense of humor, and enjoyed woodworking, carpentry, antiquing, cooking and gardening. He happily shared the bounty of his garden with family and friends. Dick will be remembered for his creative spirit, commitment to preserving memories through the lens of his camera, and his caring and generous personality. He is survived by his mother, his longtime partner, Pat Morris, a brother, five sisters, and extended family.
