Michael E. Long ’75

Michael E. Long, Holyoke, MA, died November 12, 2023. Mike was raised in a military family and educated in several different states. He was a graduate of Fort Hunt High School in Alexandria, VA., and after Saint Michael’s took several post-graduate courses at UMass Amherst.

Over the course of his career Mike worked as tech support at a few different companies. His final position was in the Information Technology Department at Western New England College. Prior to his computer certification he spent many years as the manager at the former Infinity Lounge in Springfield, MA. Michael was very generous to all who knew him and was sensitive to others’ needs. He was a true friend and all-around great guy who will be deeply missed.

Predeceased by his lifelong partner, Helen Spencer in 2018, Mike is survived by two brothers and two sisters, and extended family.
