Louise W. Stafford, Farmington, CT, died February 16, 2025.

She was one of the first three women to receive a bachelor’s degree from Saint Michael’s College. Louise served on the College’s Alumni Board from 1994 to 1997, was honored as Alumnus of the Year in both 1997 and 2022 and was a Class Agent from 2007 to 2008. She was generous returning to campus several times to share her story of being one of the first women students and graduates.

Born in Hartford, CT, Louise led a life filled with love, dedication, and accomplishment. After Saint Michael’s, where she earned her undergraduate degree in English literature, she did graduate studies at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD, before building a long and successful career in West Hartford real estate office management and commercial interior design. She also was known for her love of the beach and her unwavering devotion to her three children, golden retrievers, and animal rescue efforts. 

Louise is survived by two sons, a daughter and extended family.
