James L. Pratt, Wilbraham, MA, died October 31, 2024.

Born in Burlington, VT, Jim was a graduate of Cathedral High School in Burlington before coming to Saint Michael’s and majoring in economics. He was a Navy Veteran, attaining the rank of YN3 serving aboard the USS Boston CAG1.

He started working for Crawford and Company as a Claims Manager in Springfield in 1965, and in 1984 he opened Quality Adjustment in Wilbraham which he operated until his retirement in 2010. He was a communicant of St. Catherine of Siena Parish in Springfield, MA.

Jim and his wife, Judy, loved the water and spent time at Lake Champlain, Cape Cod and Maine. He was an avid fan of the Buffalo Sabres and Buffalo Bills. His holidays and daily life were greatly enhanced by his friends, Gary and Laurie.

He was predeceased by his wife of 47 years, Judith H. Pratt, in 2018. An alumnus brother, Paul Pratt ’60 also predeceased him. He is survived by a sister and extended family.
