Edmund J. Lynch, Jr., ’60

Died: December 22, 2024
Class of 1960

Edmund J. Lynch, Jr., Centennial, CO, died December 22, 2024.

His battle with his health in the past year highlighted just how strong and courageous he was with facing life challenges with a smile. Despite the pain and suffering, Edmund always approached each day with a smile and a positive attitude.

As a child, Edmund struggled through school, attending Catholic schools through high school. After graduating high school, he was unsure of his path forward. He told his father he had heard an ad on the radio about the Air Force. The very next morning his father had him at the recruiting office. Edmund was in the Air Force for four years before coming to Saint Michael’s.

While a Saint Michael’s student, he met his eventual wife, Patricia, at a dance, and it was love at first sight.

Edmund was an avid fly fisherman and loved to go out in Ten Mile Creek, just outside the back door of a family condo. He also enjoyed skiing with his children and friends. Edmund mostly enjoyed his family, spent every moment possible with them. He lived for a time in Littleton, CO, before making his home in Centennial, his hometown.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Patricia, a son, a daughter and extended family.
