Dr. George V. Cestaro, Jr., M.D., Fort Worth, TX, died October 7, 2024.
Born in New York, George lived a life of deep dedication to his family, his country, and his profession. After earning his Saint Michael’s undergraduate degree in biology, George went on to obtain his Doctor of Medicine from the State University of New York Downstate (Brooklyn). His early career was marked by his service as a Lieutenant Commander in the Navy both in the U.S. and abroad.
For over 45 years, Dr. Cestaro served as a family practice physician in Orlando, FL, where he became a trusted and beloved figure in his community. His compassion, knowledge, and dedication to patient care made him a respected and cherished doctor to countless individuals and families.
George had a passion for travel both at home in the U.S. and abroad, eager to explore new places and experience different cultures. Italy held a special place in his heart. He loved the beach, finding peace and joy with the sound of the waves and the warmth of the sun.
He also had a passion for sports and enjoyed sharing these moments with family and friends cheering on his favorite teams, particularly his grandson’s baseball games. His patriotism, Christian faith and family were foundations in his life. He was a Founders Club supporter of the College.
George is survived by wife, Joan, two sons, a daughter, a brother and extended family.
