Charles T. Smith, Jr. ’67

Charles T. Smith, Jr., New Britain, CT, died September 26, 2024.

Charles attended Pulaski Senior High School in New Britain and was in the graduating Class of 1963 before coming to Saint Michael’s to earn his business degree.

Charles worked most of his life as a pharmaceutical consultant. College records show he spent 15 early work years with Combustion Engineering before leaving to become a consultant in western Massachusetts. He also joined Goodwill Industries to establish computer and management systems and was their director of business systems in the 1980s. An alumni survey shows that he worked for Schein Pharmaceuticals, Inc (Carmel, NY) in the 1990s.

He enjoyed chopping wood and watching football, especially the New York Giants on cold fall and winter weekends. He loved being home with his wife and children. His favorite pastimes were cooking for family and friends and listening to smooth jazz on Sunday mornings on Lite 100.5.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Victoria Ann Smith P’92, a son, Christopher Smith ’92, a daughter and extended family.
