Bernard T. Duffy ’49

Bernard T. Duffy, Rouses Point, NY, died October 23, 2023. He retired from the Food and Drug Administration in 1987 with assignments in Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Syracuse, NY. Bernie loved sports – professional, semi-pro, college and high school. He was affixed at his children’s sporting events. He was unsuccessful in getting his children interested in chess, although they all share his enthusiasm for cards and dominos. He enjoyed spending time with his wife at Turning Stone and Akwasasne casinos after returning to Rouses Point to be near family upon retirement. Bernie was member of the American Legion, and was devoted to the Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus, and Right to Life. A granddaughter predeceased him. He is survived by his wife of nearly 64 years, Eve, a son, three daughters and extended family.
