Ann B. (Wright) Descoteaux, Fitchburg, MA, died February 18, 2024, from melanoma.

After graduating from Saint Michael’s with a degree in Fine Arts and English, she started her career as a graphic artist with the New England District of the Army Corps of Engineers, advancing to become the supervisor of the Audio-Visual Section. After raising her family, Ann embarked on a second career as the Director of Docents at the Fitchburg Art Museum.

Ann was very artistic and enjoyed travel, photography, writing poetry, and painting, particularly watercolors. While at her family’s lakeside cottage in Wayne, Maine, she was immersed in nature’s beauty. Most importantly, she was a trusted and compassionate woman who made numerous friends and touched so many lives throughout her journey.

She was a member of the Laurelwood Garden Club, Louise Brogan Poetry Chapter, and Saint Anthony of Padua Parish.

Ann is survived by her husband of 36 years, David R. Descoteaux, three sons, three siblings and extended family.
