Cybersecurity Program Learning Outcomes
Graduates who successfully complete Cybersecurity major are assessed in three ways during the course of their program: 1) a 2.0 GPA or higher in their major required courses; 2) meeting expectations in their Capstone project; and 3) successful performance on a series of exams including but not limited to: Certified Computer Forensics Examiner (CCFE) exam, Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) exam, and Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) exam.
Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of the major, Cybersecurity graduates are able to:
- Understand the range of cyber threats present in modern society
- Secure vulnerable technical resources against a range of cyber threats and attacks
- Identify and test vulnerabilities in a system
- Conduct a cyber forensic investigation of a security breach
- Display the ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders effectively
- Understand all concepts tested by the Certified Computer Forensics Examiner, Certified Ethical Hacker, Certified Information Systems Security Professional exams.
