Sefakor G.M.A. Komabu-Pomeyie, PhD (Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion for UVM’s College of Nursing & Health Sciences & author of I’m Able: a Woman’s Advice for Disability Change Agents), & Patrick Standen, M.A (Instructor of Philosophy at UVM and SMC & author of Disability: The Genealogy of a Concept from Prehistory to Mid-20th Century) will share historical and personal perspectives on disability and efforts to promote disability awareness, rights, and justice. Lunch provided. Sponsored by the First-Year Seminar, Equity Studies, Education, and Philosophy programs, as well as the Office of Accessibility Services.
