A Conversation with International Students: Perspectives of Life on Campus and in an Uncertain World with International Students from Saint Michael’s College and Representatives from the Institute for Global Engagement
In 1967 Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. gave what, at the time, was considered a controversial speech—Beyond Vietnam: A Time to Break the Silence—at the Riverside Church in New York City. This speech was seen as a call not just for the United States to get out of Vietnam, but for getting out of a “certain frame of mind, of a way of thinking about ourselves and about the world.” Please join SMC International Students from various countries and undergraduate and graduate levels as they discuss the intricacies of studying away from home, sharing their perspectives and experiences of life on campus and in an uncertain world.
