Sutherland Lecture Series: 'The Movement Made Us'
The annual Sutherland Lecture Series is proud to present “The Movement Made Us: An Intergenerational Conversation with David Dennis Jr & David Dennis Sr.” The father and son will discuss their new book, “The Movement Made Us” and the experiences of Dennis Sr during the early 1960s black freedom movement. One of the original Freedom Riders, Dennis Sr will talk about passing along the history and struggles for social justice to his son.
The lecture will be held on Thursday, March 3, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. in the McCarthy Recital Hall. The event is open to the public and available via Zoom.
