Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT)

In-person

  • Earn your teaching license and master’s in just one year
  • Multiple field placements with expert Vermont teachers
  • Initial licensure tracks include art, elementary, middle, secondary, and special education with the option of pursuing additional endorsements

Master of Education (MEd.)

In-person or 100% online

  • For licensed teachers and graduate students interested in a non-licensure track
  • Choose a concentration in arts, curriculum and instructional design, literacy, school leadership, or special education
  • Optional additional endorsement as Special Educator

  • Four courses focused on antiracism, critical reflexivity, collective liberation, and justice
  • Designed to help educators provide more equitable and inclusive schooling
  • Can be completed in 1-2 year cohort groups

Health Equity Graduate Certificate

In-person or 100% online

  • Five courses in discrete areas of competency
  • Designed for professionals and college graduates interested in health equity
  • Take advantage of our agreements with regional Master of Public Health programs for easy application, post-certificate, with transferable credits

Holistic Restorative Education Certificate

In-person

  • 1-year, 12-credit graduate program
  • Designed for educators, specialists, and leaders
  • Online program with 1-week on campus in the summer

Graduate TESOL Certificate

In-person

  • 24 credits that can be applied to a master's
  • Gives you a chance to gain the core skills needed for teaching English to speakers of other languages
  • Designed for students who have special training objectives in mind

Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study (CAGS)

In-person

  • Pursue an area of concentration within our Graduate Education Program
  • Design your own program with the help of an academic advisor
  • 30 graduate credits beyond the master’s degree
