Come learn how to use our vinyl cutter to design and cut your own stickers/decals. Decals can be used to customize anything from clothing, technology, glassware, etc., or can be used on their own as stickers. Join any time, and stay for as little or as long as you'd like!

Those participating in admitted student VIP days will have the opportunity to come to the MakerSpace and learn how to use our vinyl cutter to design and cut their own stickers/decals. If you're a current student, come introduce yourself, welcome them to our beautiful campus, and share some of your love for SMC with them!!

In this workshop we will take a walk of the SMC natural area together and make some beautiful cyanotype prints. Also called "sun painting", cyanotype is the “original” sun-printing process and one of the earliest photographic techniques. It was discovered in 1842 and came known for its ability to produce rich, Prussian blue monochromatic prints. It became popular well into the 20th century as an inexpensive method for reproducing photographs, documents, maps and plans (hence the enduring architectural term “blueprint”) and famously, for making impressions of biological specimens in the field (“photograms”).

Barbara O'Donovan's Introduction to Engineering course will be coming to the MakerSpace to work on circuit boards. From 3:30PM to 5PM on this day, we will be closed to other projects as we will be at max capacity.

Join students Colleen Biglin '22 and Marcus Mallows '23 in this upcycled flower pots workshop this Thursday! Just bring bring your own can(s). Macrame supplies, paints, soil, seeds, etc. are provided.
