Emergency Medical Services

About

The 2020 global pandemic highlighted the essential role of first responders and the urgent need to strengthen our healthcare workforce. It also revealed exciting opportunities to build talent pipelines across various healthcare roles. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, healthcare occupations are expected to experience much faster growth than the average for all industries from 2023 to 2033, creating a demand for skilled professionals.

The Emergency Medical Services (EMS) minor offers a comprehensive foundation in the knowledge, skills, and clinical decision-making required for pre-hospital providers. This program equips students with valuable hands-on experience and prepares them for volunteer or employment roles. The EMS Minor is an interdisciplinary track that pairs seamlessly with studies in Health Sciences, Public Health, Biology, and Psychology, offering students a well-rounded approach to healthcare.
