My generation hasn't seen an economic recession like this before. And looking for a job is different than it used to be.

I started my Web site, The Online Beat, to help job-seekers learn how to use new social media technologies to form employment connections,  brand themselves, and strengthen their skill sets.

Everything I use on my job I learned at Saint Michael's -- I learned how to write, how to communicate with various audiences, how to take risks with the kinds of questions I ask. I use all that knowledge I gained with a liberal arts education every day. My audience is global, and I have to be able to communicate with them.
